Haight Named A Top Bay Area School for Underserved Students

Haight is being recognized as of the top 54 Bay Area schools for Underserved Students for our African American students' performance on the English portion of the 1415 CAASPP.  


Congratulations to families and teachers for their support of high student performance!




Want to help at Haight? We need volunteers to assist with lunch recess supervision!!

We need YOU!  If you want to volunteer, we could use your help, whether you can help 1 day a week, 5 days or any number in between.  We're always looking for volunteers to help in classrooms, as Art Docents, making copies and helping at lunch.  Please see Principal Lewis or email her at tllewis@alameda.k12.ca.us if you need more information or have questions!

From Haight's Award Letter:  "Each year, CBEE presents this award to individual schools and to districts that have excelled in raising student achievement and closing achievement gaps. This is a testament to you, your staff and your students’ relentless focus on academic success. I want to once again congratulate you on the outstanding success your school has made in raising student academic achievement and closing achievement gaps."

AUSD updates on the status of test results from last spring's online test for the Common Core, the CAASPP.

Common Core Test Resources

Looking for information about the Common Core tests your students took last spring? AUSD’s  "Common Core Assessments" web page offers a wealth of information on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), also known as the "Common Core Test" or "Smarter, Balanced Test." Please visit the page to find an FAQ about CAASPP, links to layperson-friendly websites about the assessment, and updates on when the results from last spring's test will be released. Families will also be receiving information about understanding the test results in the mail when the individual student reports are sent out in September.
